On Growth and Scale, students can reach your app on your own domain, for example learn.yourinstitute.com.np, instead of yourname.sapty.com. You set it up yourself in a few minutes.
1. Choose the address
Use a subdomain of a domain you already own, such as learn. or ielts.. Your main website can stay where it is. A root domain such as yourinstitute.com.np works too, if nothing else runs on it.
2. Add it in your admin
Go to Settings › Domains, type the address and choose Add domain. Sapty shows the DNS record to create.
3. Add the record
Sign in where you bought your domain and add that record:
- For a subdomain: a CNAME record pointing to your Sapty address,
yourname.sapty.com. - For a root domain: an A record with the same IP address as
yourname.sapty.com, plus a TXT record on_sapty.yourinstitute.com.npwith the value Sapty shows (sapty-verify=yourname). The TXT record proves the domain is yours.
Changes can take up to a day to spread.
4. Check and go live
Back in Settings › Domains, choose Check DNS. Once the record works, the domain is connected and its security certificate is set up the first time someone opens it. If the check fails, wait a while and try again.
Your yourname.sapty.com address keeps working, so links you already shared do not break. You can connect up to three domains, and disconnect one at any time from the same page.
