When do payouts arrive, and why is mine lower than my sales?

4 min read

Students pay your institute through the checkout in your app. Sapty collects the money, keeps its commission and pays the rest to you once a month.

When

On the 1st of each month we work out the payout for the month before. It reaches your Khalti account, eSewa account or bank account by the 7th. Each payout carries a bank reference you can match against your statement. Your sales are listed under Orders in your admin, and your plan invoices under Settings › Plan and billing.

Why the payout is lower than your sales

Three things come off your sales total:

  • Commission. A higher rate on Sapty content and a lower rate on your own content. The rates depend on your plan. See How commission is worked out.
  • Refunds. A refund you gave in the month is taken off, and its commission is given back to you.
  • Payments still in progress. A sale only counts once the payment has gone through. A student who paid on the last day of the month may land in next month's payout.

Payment provider fees are included in our commission, so there is nothing else to take off.

If a payout looks wrong, write to us with the month and your Sapty address. We can show you every sale behind it.
